Your In Conversation Paper will need to use sources that come from at least 3 different disciplines or perspectives. These are very similar concepts, but with a key difference.

  Discipline Perspective
Definition:  A field of study in higher education    A subfield or lens within a field of study in higher education
Example:  Psychology Developmental psychology, educational psychology, forensic psychology

 

 

A discipline is a larger field of study, similar to a major at a University. A discipline has scholars, students studying that discipline, and it's own specific set of journals for those scholars to publish in. 

A perspective is a distinct branch or specialty within a discipline. Some majors have specializations or concentrations. English majors, for examples, can specialize in Creative Writing or Literature. These are examples of perspectives within English.
